Role Overview
As a Behaviour Intern with us, you won’t just be gaining experience; you’ll be an integral part of our Behaviour Support and Therapy Team. This entry-level role is designed to help you build a strong foundation in applied behaviour analysis theory and practice while also honing your skills in collaboration. Reporting to the Behaviour Team Leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our clients through evidence-based practices and collaborative efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration Influencer: Facilitate collaboration across the Behaviour Support and Therapy and Speech and Language Therapy teams.
Hands-On Learning: Under the direct supervision of our Team Leaders and Clinical Director, engage in direct behaviour therapy sessions in home, clinic, and community settings.
Skill Development: Participate in functional behaviour assessments, support plan development, caregiver training, data analysis, and reporting.
Program Enhancement: Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised skill acquisition programs and behaviour support plans.
Resource Creation: Develop resources and materials for program implementation, including data tracking sheets and communication records.
Data-Driven Insights: Use our online data collection system to gather, collate, and analyse client data, contributing to program decision-making.
Group Program Participation: Play a role in implementing group programs fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Empowering Reporting: Assist in writing progress reports and exit summaries, ensuring clear communication of client achievements.
Supportive Mentorship: Support Registered Behaviour Technicians through observations, feedback, and monthly sessions.
Professional Development: Attend weekly team meetings, meet minimum supervision requirements, remain current with research, and actively contribute to the growth of our team.
Candidates for our Behaviour Analyst Intern positions must either have completed a verified course sequence (VCS) or be enrolled in a VCS towards Certification.
