Role Overview

As a Speech Pathologist with us, you’ll be more than a clinician – you’ll be a catalyst for enhancing communication, positively impacting behaviours, and driving multidisciplinary collaboration. By working closely with our Behaviour Support and Therapy team, you’ll shape the trajectory of our clients’ lives through effective communication strategies and innovative practices. Reporting directly to the Leadership Team, you’ll be critical in fostering lasting change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communication Catalyst: Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive speech, language, fluency, and literacy interventions. Work directly with children and families to drive positive communication outcomes.
  • Collaborative Influencer: Work closely with the Behaviour Support and Therapy team to ensure a holistic approach to communication and behaviour interventions.
  • Behaviour-Communication Nexus: Leverage your expertise to bridge the gap between communication and behaviours of concern, enhancing the overall therapeutic impact.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Collect, monitor, and report data on client progress, providing evidence-based insights for program refinement.
  • Clinical Mentorship: Play a vital role in mentoring early career clinicians, working closely with the Clinical Director to develop a dynamic clinical skills development curriculum.
  • Professional Development Champion: Deliver organization-wide staff training sessions, contributing to our team’s growth and skill development.
  • Innovation Advocate: Stay current with research, trends, and developments in allied health, special education, and behaviour analysis. Contribute to alternative revenue streams and quality assurance projects.
  • Agent of Empowerment: Empower clients with disabilities to learn socially meaningful communication skills, fostering empowerment, inclusion, and connection.
  • Strategic Impact: Participate actively in our Team meetings, contributing to broader organisational initiatives. Cultivate professional networks with allied health, medical, and educational experts.
  • Research and Quality: Support research and dissemination projects that push the boundaries of our field. Oversee annual quality assurance and improvement projects, ensuring the highest standards of care and services.
